Botox / Botulinum Injections
Botulinum injections, also referred to as botox injections, is a temporary nonsurgical procedure to relax wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. This commonly performed and popular minimally invasive procedure uses a FDA approved medication delivered via localized, pinpoint injections. Most patients notice a clear improvement in these wrinkles within days.
This procedure is ideal for the patient with minimal wrinkles and crows feet with virtually no recovery time. The wrinkles that respond best to Botulinum treatment are those that are caused by muscles, such as from frowning or squinting. The effect lasts about four months on average.
For additional information on Botox/Botulinum Injections visit the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons for this procedure.
